Fund Community-Led Energy Justice in California
Your investment strengthens an independent, statewide coalition dedicated to an affordable, equitable, and resilient energy system.
Who We Are
CACE is a statewide network advancing community-controlled energy solutions. We are a trusted connector, facilitating honest, rigorous collaboration among local organizers, technical grid experts, and policy advocates — groups that don’t sit at the same table often enough.
Our Reach & Network
225+ Vetted Members
Including concerned ratepayers and energy justice organizations from across California
Statewide Footprint
Representation from 50+ cities, spanning urban, rural, and coastal communities from Humboldt County to San Diego.
Cross-Sector Collaboration
Over 70 unique affiliations across the state, ranging from technical vendors to advocacy groups.
Our Priorities
We don’t just talk about change.
We facilitate the statewide infrastructure required to achieve it.

Affordability
We elevate energy affordability as a central justice issue, centering low-income communities in the conversation. We share clear analysis on rising utility costs and rate myth-busting to protect ratepayers statewide.

Community Energy
We support the development of microgrids and local energy models by translating complex technical knowledge into easy-to-understand tools for community action.

Accountability
We are building a community watchdog culture. We track policies, provide immediate coverage of legislative developments and regulatory decisions that affect Californians.
Why Fund CACE
We’re organizing for needed energy changes in California. We bridge the gap between grassroots organizing and statewide policy. Our members aren’t passive. They’re technically informed, politically engaged, and rooted in their communities — which is exactly what makes cross-sector collaboration possible here.
Following a high-impact year of partnership with the Affordable Energy Campaign in 2025, CACE continues to scale our advocacy and organizing capacity.
Institutional and major donor support directly funds our ability to:
Advocate for equitable policies and ratepayer protections at the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC)
Support Community Choice and local energy solutions through strategic partnerships and amplified messaging
Strengthen our statewide community through monthly calls that keep our members informed within a rapidly changing policy landscape
Expand our Task Forces, growing membership engagement and coordination within CACE and among California’s energy justice community
The California Alliance for Community Energy is a fiscally sponsored project of Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs (SEE), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
