The Local Clean Energy Alliance has long been at the forefront of advancing Community Choice energy programs as transformative alternatives to investor-owned utilities like PG&E. These programs prioritize clean, local energy and reinvest in frontline communities—neighborhoods historically burdened by polluting energy operations and excluded from the benefits of the clean energy economy.
As climate change intensifies and overlapping crises disproportionately impact low-income communities and communities of color, resilience hubs are emerging as powerful, community-driven solutions. These hubs serve as trusted gathering spaces equipped with critical resources and, increasingly, clean energy microgrids that support residents both in everyday life and during emergencies.
