Feb 17, 2022, Statewide Call — More Utility BS: Electrification vs Rooftop Solar

NB: This date is the 3rd Thursday, not our usual 4th.   We moved to avoid a conflict with the Feb 24 CPUC decision meeting.

This month we will be discussing the fallacies behind the new “sales pitch” for attacking rooftop solar in California: that “subsidizing” rooftop solar is too expensive, it no longer makes economic sense, and it has become an obstacle to the cheap energy needed to achieve electrification goals! This is the latest utility argument against rooftop solar, now being pushed by energy system “experts.”

We’re fortunate to have Robert Freehling, energy policy analyst extraordinaire, to kick off the discussion. Robert has been a clean energy consultant for over 20 years, advising Community Choice advocates, environmental justice organizations, and others.

Please join an array of knowledgeable commentators to dig into this latest utility contention. Statewide calls are for Alliance members only.  To participate, please complete our application to join.
