Feb 24, 2021, Statewide Call — “A New Player: California Community Power”

This month we welcomed Jan Pepper, CEO of Peninsula Clean Energy to discuss a new development in the Community Choice ecosystem.  Eight (soon to be ten) Community Choice agencies have formed a “Super JPA” – a Joint Power Authority comprised of these founding eight programs.  Amid announcements of the CA Community Power’s plans to buy long-term storage assets cooperatively, Alliance members wanted to hear the details.  What can this entity do that single Community Choice agencies can’t do?  What will be the impact on the communities within the “Super-JPA’s” jurisdiction?  Recordings of the Alliance’s monthly calls are available to members only.   Join the Alliance to be part of these discussions.
