Attorney and former CPUC President Loretta Lynch joined us again, this time to review the just-released report from the CA Independent System Operator (CAISO).  In this “Preliminary Root Cause Analysis: Mid-August 2020 Heat Storm”, CAISO discussed their view of the causes and appropriate next steps.  Drawing on her wealth of background experience with state and regional electricity markets, Ms. Lynch offered her thoughts on the real “root causes”.
